Thank You to Irvin Leisure for keeping the history of Barham Park alive.

Barham Park is a beautiful local Park with a much needed and loved local Library - which local people are determined to keep open (see www.barhamlibrary.wordpress.com for more information).

Titus Barham gifted the Park and its buildings ""for the enjoyment for the people of Wembley"" and this is what is still happening over 70 years after his death.

I too grew up a stone throw away from the park..best childhood memories are there..playing on the swings with my friends...eating ice cream from oblong cones on a Sunday..crossing the bridge and looking over at the lillie leaves ...building a camp in the bushes...going to the library and getting the annual fish at the funfair...so pleased it's still there for others to enjoy!

This is my very favourite park. I lived nearby as a boy, and used the library extensively. Sadly, the library is now up for closure.
